Perfect Red and White Office

I love everything about this office except that it isn't mine. And that we'll never have a Mac. So pretty. I wish I knew where the hardware came from!

Doormat to Decor

I love this idea I saw at All Things Thrifty. To better childproof this piece she took out the glass doors and replaced them with a rubber rug she cut to fit. I think it looks awesome and would love the whole thing painted black. But don't trust me, I like everything painted black. Even so, I'm remembering this for later.

Easy Reusable Bags (from Tees!)

Who doesn't have tons of old t shirts lying around? I know we have a lot that we are loathe to part with and I love this new use for them- reusable bags. I few cuts and stitches (that I could even do, I think) and you can enjoy your shirt every time you're hauling groceries. Thanks, Wild Onion Studios- I can't wait to make my own!

Scarlett's Crib

I need to preface this post with saying that I would totally name a daughter Scarlett if I could convince my husband. As it stands I call my daughter Katie Scarlett when he isn't listening. So, I fell in love with this crib instantly! The whole room is amazing and I love the name hanging on the wall. I'm hoping that names as decor don't go out of style too soon because I think it's so fun and that everyone is secretly a little vain about seeing their name. I know I am. Check out the rest of this beautiful nursery here.

Wall of Plates

My mom actually emailed me this pic so I have no idea where it came from, but isn't it lovely? I'm sure my husband would think it a little busy but I think it's SO pretty. And I love her plate collection! I'm amassing my own, one at a time when the price is right, and I'm hoping to have a nice wall display soon. For now I"m going to stare on this set!

Please leave a comment if you know where this image came from- thanks!

Changing up a Chair

I've seen lots of time out chairs but never the happy opposite! This is so cute and while I'm worried my son would pick off the stickers, I'm thinking it would be fun to try sometime. So happy!

Plate Wall for my Kitchen

Isn't this wall refreshing and beautiful? It's the plate wall I've been coveting for about a year now and will hopefully be replicated in my own kitchen soon. I have six plates down. Can't wait.

Wreath Alternate

This entry is so fresh and pretty I just want to walk in and see the house! My mom emailed me this picture from Blue Cricket Design and I'm thinking of running to scour my frame pile in the garage right now. I love how she mixes it up with the ornaments for Christmas and I'm sure she has a million other cute add-ons. Plus, I like any door painted red. I had one once and can't wait to again (although I admit I have plenty of love for my lovingly stained espresso door).

By the way, isn't the chalkboard fun? I have the perfect place for one myself!

Simple Photo Wall

I love photos and feel like it's easy for them to get lost in all the stuff- the frames, the collages, and children running through the house. I'm thinking of making a display like this one (from the Nester, I think, I saved it a long time ago- email me if I'm wrong!) to highlight beautiful pictures of my children. Easy, cheap, beautiful. That's right.

Idea Board

I love how the pretty wall peeks right through this cute frame from Pink and Polka Dot. I think it would be perfect above a desk (particularly if mine wasn't in my family room, /tear) or as a little girl's bow holder. I might even try this in my kitchen since the green would be so fresh peeking out.

Check out the craft table redo she did, too. It's awesome and easy enough for anyone to do- really.

Mismatched Chairs

I saw these mismatched chairs on Apartment Therapy and haven't stopped dreaming of them. I've been on a serious "buy it for nothing at goodwill/on craigslist and paint it white" kick and think I'm going to have my own mismatched table soon. I'd probably go with red chairs, though. Now I just need to convince my husband!

Wall Ideas

Shawni's blog is so inspirational to me. She seems so intentional in her family activities and traditions. I read a post about her home and how important she felt things on the walls were. These two walls really struck me. I'd love to make a tree of our families (especially such a cute one!) I also love the map for it's beauty and even more for it's meaning- there's a marking of everywhere someone has been. Now I just need to find the right wall...

Anne Makes (or wants to...)

Since blog surfing is one of my favorite sports, I decided it was time to put all my finds in one place. My desktop is overflowing with pictures and ideas for projects to beautify my little home. I send links all the time and find them later in the depths of my email. This new blog is for me, to keep track of things I love and want to incorporate into my life and home. There will probably be lots of decorating and even some parenting ideas. Here goes.
